Which NRI Are You?

H-1B, L-1, OPT — once you're back, background verifications, OCI (if you naturalized), and property matters start asking for apostilled US records. The FBI PCC is usually first.
Filing OCI for yourself or your children
Since December 2024, OCI applications filed from India need apostilles on US documents: the naturalization certificate, US-born children's birth certificates, spouses' marriage certificates, and FBI PCCs.
Moving onward to the Gulf
