This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains when and how you can cancel an order with Veritas Apostille Services ("Veritas", "we", "us") and how refunds are handled. Because our Services involve government fees and physical document handling, please read this carefully before placing an order.
1. Cancellation Before Processing Begins
You may cancel your order for a full refund at any time before we begin processing — that is, before your document is notarised and/or submitted to the US Department of State (or other relevant authority). To cancel, message us on WhatsApp or emailinfo@veritasapostille.com with your order details.
2. No Refund Once Processing Has Started
Once processing has begun — including notarisation and/or submission of your document to the government authority — the order is non-refundable. This is because government apostille and notarisation fees are paid to third parties on your behalf and are non-recoverable, and the work involved cannot be undone. This applies regardless of the final outcome of any application for which you intend to use the apostilled document.
3. Optional Add-Ons
Optional add-ons (such as return shipping, translation, or extra scanned copies) that have not yet been purchased or performed on your behalf can be cancelled and refunded. Add-ons already incurred (e.g. a courier already booked) are non-refundable.
4. Service Not Rendered by Us
In the rare event that we are unable to provide the Service for reasons attributable solely to us (and not due to government rejection, an invalid document, or client-supplied errors), you will receive a refund of the amounts paid to us, less any non-recoverable government fees and third-party costs already incurred on your behalf.
5. How Refunds Are Processed
Approved refunds are made to the original payment method through our payment gateway, Cashfree Payments. Refunds are typically initiated within 5–7 business days of approval; the time for the amount to reflect in your account depends on your bank or card issuer.
