Shipping & Delivery Policy

This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how documents are shipped to and from Veritas Apostille Services ("Veritas", "we", "us") as part of the apostille process. Our Service is a physical document-handling service, so delivery involves courier shipments between India and the United States.

1. Sending Your Document to Us

After you place an order, you courier your original document to our US address using a trackable express courier. The outbound courier cost from India is arranged and paid by you. We recommend declaring the shipment as "Personal Documents" and sharing the tracking number with us on WhatsApp.

2. Processing Time

Once we receive your document, processing (notarisation and submission to the US Department of State) and government apostille issuance typically take the following, depending on the service tier you choose:

  • Economy — approximately 3–4 weeks total (India to apostille to back in India).
  • Standard — approximately 2–3 weeks total.
  • Express — approximately 1–2 weeks total.

These timelines include both courier legs and government processing. They are good-faith estimates and may vary due to government workload, holidays, or courier delays beyond our control.

3. Return Delivery to You

After the apostille is issued, we ship the apostilled original document back to your address in India by tracked express courier. Return shipping is an optional add-on, quoted transparently before you pay. We share the return tracking number with you so you can monitor delivery directly.

4. Shipping Charges

The outbound courier from India to our US address is paid by you directly to your courier. Return shipping charges (US to India) are quoted upfront and, where applicable, added to your order. There are no hidden shipping markups.

5. Lost or Damaged Shipments

Express courier shipments are tracked and, where offered by the courier, insured. In the unlikely event of loss or damage in transit on the return leg, we will assist you with the courier's claims process. Veritas is not responsible for delays or losses caused by the courier or customs authorities.

6. Digital Delivery

Where included in your plan or purchased as an add-on, a scanned copy of your apostilled document may be shared with you electronically via WhatsApp or email before the physical original is returned.
