These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the websiteveritasapostille.com and the apostille and document-authentication services (the "Services") provided by Veritas Apostille Services ("Veritas", "we", "us", or "our"). By placing an order or using the Website, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Services

Veritas provides a remote document-authentication service for clients in India. You courier your original US-issued document (such as an FBI Identity History Summary) to our US address. We arrange notarisation where required and physically submit the document to the appropriate authority — primarily the US Department of State — for apostille, then courier the apostilled original back to your address in India.

2. Client Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate contact, shipping, and order information.
  • You are responsible for sending genuine, valid original documents. Photocopies, scans, and forged documents cannot be apostilled.
  • You are responsible for the courier cost and safe dispatch of your document to our US address.
  • You must verify the specific requirements of the authority that will receive your apostilled document (e.g. VFS Global, IRCC, an employer, or a consulate), including any freshness or format requirements.

3. Government Processing

The issuance of an apostille is performed solely by the relevant government authority (e.g. the US Department of State). Veritas facilitates and submits your document but does not control, and cannot guarantee, government processing times or outcomes. Government fees are set by the authority and are non-refundable once incurred.

4. Timelines

Estimated timelines shown on the Website (Economy, Standard, Express) are good-faith estimates based on typical processing and courier times. They are not guaranteed and may vary due to government workload, courier delays, holidays, or circumstances beyond our control.

5. Pricing & Payment

Prices for each service tier are displayed on our Pricing page. Optional add-ons (such as return shipping, translation, or extra scans) are quoted before you pay. Payment is processed securely through our payment gateway, Cashfree Payments. Full payment or the agreed advance is required before we begin processing your order.

6. Refunds & Cancellations

Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Shipping

Shipping and delivery are governed by our Shipping & Delivery Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Veritas' total liability arising out of or relating to the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific order in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including missed deadlines, visa or application rejections, or losses arising from government or courier delays outside our reasonable control.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Website, including text, graphics, logos, and the Veritas Apostille Services name and mark, is our property or used under licence and may not be copied or reused without permission.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
